About Me

I am a mother of two boys (and a puppy) trying to find balance in this thing we call life. I try to keep my boys always exploring and learning. Being adventurous is something I want to instill into their hearts. With both boys falling in love with the sport, we have become quite the soccer family. When I am not spectating soccer, you can find me in my referee attire on the sidelines.

I am a runner. I LOVE RUNNING! I was not always a runner. I was kind of late to the game with this sport. I started out as a mailbox runner. I would run to one mailbox, then walk to the next, and repeat. Running my first 1:00 without stopping was a big accomplishment. After that, I ran my first mile. Before I knew it, I was signing up for races. 2014 brought my first 5K race.  Since then, I have ran over 20 half marathons and several marathons. Lately, I have found pure joy in pacing groups of others for half marathons. Along with running, I find movement through strength training, yoga, and indoor cycling. I have fallen in love with the feeling of being a strong woman. My goal is always to stay healthy and injury free. Cross training has helped me maintain this goal over time.

Other loves of mine: reading, puppies, cooking/baking, attending Cincinnati sporting events, teaching, road trips, butterflies, Disney World, volunteering

    Disney Dopey Challenge 2020

Disney Dopey Challenge 2020 One year ago today, I completed my third marathon, which happened to also be my first Disney Dopey Challenge! (Little did I know that my 2020 racing days were numbered). I am very thankful to be able to say that I “raced” each of my distances last year. Those four distances…
