After spending all morning and all evening at Magic Kingdom, I decided to go ahead and run my couple miles tonight. I think I have officially entered the crazy person world!
It was another beautiful day in Orlando, Florida! Perfect weather, really. Just warm enough to get you sticky.
As we rode the monorail back to our resort, I was thinking about doing my run this evening so I would not have to get up so early in the morning.
- I am already sweaty.
- I would not have to worry about beating an earlier alarm than everyone else.
- My stuff is already all laid out (did that at nap time knowing that it was going to be a short night).
- I could have it done and go to bed knowing that I am ahead of things for tomorrow.
Once the boys were bathed and in bed, I got myself dressed and headed out. It is much more crowded at 10:00 at night than 6:00 in the morning. The luau was still going on as I ran from the Polynesian to the Grand Floridian.
At the Grand Floridian, I was able to run various paths to get in some distance. I noticed the pool areas are now all fenced in. That is new from when we were here in September. I stopped at my favorite quick service spot to snap my castle shot.
Over at the Polynesian, I ran by fire light. Woah! I find it hard to run on the paths here because they are like cobblestone. Once I hit the beach area though, it was great!
Most of tonight’s run was completed on little sections of paths. Lots of curves. Lots of people. It was hard to get a good pace going. PLUS, my legs and body were pretty tired from a couple days at the parks.
Today’s Workout:
- Two mile run
- 40: bicycle crunches, reverse crunches, supermans, knee to elbow planks, and leg raises
- 5:00 planks
The people across the hall came out while I was doing my supermans. Talk about awkward. I think they probably got a good laugh at my expense. However, they were very encouraging and gave me a “you go girl, better than me”. I did not say it, but I thought to myself, ‘I am not doing no this to be better than you. I am doing this to prove to myself that I can”.
Now, it is off to dreamland for me. My alarm will be going off in less than six hours. Long days, short nights, and I would not have it any other way!!!
